Richard and Sue invite you to stay with them in the enchanting, undiscovered Parc
D’Armorique, one and half miles from the sea.
Driftwood (6) ,our gite, is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Kergalet, at the centre of the Crozon
Peninsular with its fantastic beaches and breathtaking coastal scenery .
Driftwood has been tastefully renovated recently. We have designed it with a spacious living room upstairs. that takes advantage of the beautiful country views and garden. There are French Doors which open on to a large balcony. The modern kitchen area has a dishwasher, full size cooker, microwave, fridge, and plenty of worktops and cupboards. There is a dining table which sits 6 in comfort. The lounge area has a comfortable suite, coffee table and a music centre for your pleasure. On the south-facing balcony there is a large table with parasol and six chairs for meals in the sun.
The living room is designed on the Breton style with the use of natural wood on the ceiling and floor and many of the fitments.
Downstairs we have three bedrooms - one double bedded room with a twin bedded room adjoining and a separate twin bedded room. Also there is a super pine bathroom with toilet, basin and shower. The whole cottage has been tastefully furnished. There is plenty of parking and our guests are welcome to use our large peaceful garden, with its lawn, flowerbeds, pond and barbecue area.
Driftwood is kept to a high standard by the owners, who live near by.

The Crozon Peninsula is part of the Parc Naturel regional D'Armorique. It stretches from the picturesque Arree Mountains in the east to the wonderful beaches and coastal scenery of the 'Presqu'ile de Crozon to the west.
The whole magnificent National Park is in the' Department of Finistere which in turn is part of the area of Brittany.
Presqu'ile de Crozon has in general been undiscovered by tourists as they tend to by-pass it on their way south. The French come in summer but it never gets that busy. The Presqu'ile extents about 30 kms by 10 kms. and in that area the scenery changes from towering cliffs at Point Espangnois with its bracing walks to long beautiful sandy beaches which stretch for miles (there are in fact over 12 sandy beaches to choose from and none of them get very busy). There are numerous delightful walks in forests & moors and we have 145kms. of coastal footpath around the Presqu'ile to explore.
Driftwood is situated at Kergalet which is a tiny sleepy hamlet just outside Crozon and about 6 miles from Camaret-Sur-Mer. We are under one and a half hours by road from Roscoff where the Plymouth ferry docks. We also have the ferry from Portsmouth to Cherbourg (about 5 hours away) which is a good service. The French roads are good, so travelling to us could not be easier.
