This is a 330 yr old farmhouse beautifully restored to a very high standard in an enviable location with distant views to the Pyrenees. The lounge dining room with full size table & chairs & comfy leather sofa and easy chairs has doors opening to the terrace & pool area. It also benefits from an open log fire for those out of season vacations and beautiful French oak’ table de ferme’ which will seat up to 8 people. The kitchen is well fitted with every modern amenity including washing machine& the door from the kitchen leads onto the Al Fresco dining area on the east terrace including a gas BBQ and open bread oven. Stairs from the kitchen lead up to the mezzanine gallery with double futon bed. The master bedroom has a double bed, full en-suite facilities and also a door onto the southern terrace. Bedroom 2 has twin beds which can be made into a double and a door onto the northern terrace area. In the barn conversion the upper floor includes bedroom 1 - a double bed with French doors and balcony, bedroom 2 - 2 single beds (with plenty of room for additional occasional beds) and shower room. On the ground floor there is an open living area with fully fitted kitchen (all mod cons). The lounge area has a sofa bed and the French windows open out on to a south facing patio.
Swimming Pool 10m x 5m and there is terrace surround with sun beds, table tennis, bikes, petanque, books and games are also available for residents.

Manantes is set in a secluded countryside location just 15mins walk however takes you into the little village of Les Casses where a bar & good restaurant can be found. Castelnaudary & Revel are both close by & are thriving towns each with a great weekly market. Mirepoix the ancient bastide town is approx 30kms with its famous Monday regional market. Both Toulouse and Carcassonne airports are less than 1 hours drive. This excellent location will leave you spoilt for choice with the magnificence of Toulouse ‘the rose city' & Carcassonne‘s ancient old city with its fairytale spires. There are Cathar castles, the medieval Mirepoix, Limoux plus lakes and rivers where you can bathe. The glorious beaches of the Med are approx 1 hrs away & 1.5 hrs sees you at the coastal borders with Spain or Andorra through the Pyrenees inland. It is a captivating region full of charm & beauty |
