Welcome to our classically furnished private apartment occupying a prime location within the Chateau, centrally located within Olonzac, the largest wine village within the scenic Minervois Wine Region of South East France.
The building has recently undergone extensive professional renovation and conversion into ten private apartments which retain many of the original and unique features.
The Chateau's main Kitchen and Storeooms provided the basis for our apartment, now fully restored whilst retaining their original features. In the Kitchen the magnificent Marble oven surround, nineteenth century ceramic floor tiles and original French Windows and shutters have been retained, along with the 4 metre high ceilings and chandelier! The adjoining Salon, previously used as the Chateau's Morning/Breakfast room also forms part of the accommodation, and features the original marble fireplace and oak flooring.
The Storerooms themselves have now been replaced by comfortable sleeping accomodation which offers a Double Bedroom, a Twin Bedroom with ensuite and shower facilites and small enclosed terrace courtyard, and a spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle.
Our rooms open out onto a cool, shady, private terrace with garden furniture overlooking the Chateau's garden which is enclosed by mature trees, and offers a permanent BBQ and seating facility.
The apartment has a unique private access to the street via a small courtyard from where it is only a short stroll into the village centre.
The apartment is fully equipped with satellite television, which offers BBC TV & radio,a CD player and an extensive library oof guide books and maps. Additionally we have arranged various folders detailing all local and regional attractions, cultural, sporting and those of scenic or other interest.
The Dining Kitchen is fully equipped with a traditional French Godin range-style cooker, and in addition, a microwave and dishwaher, washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. We also have portable BBQ equipment and BBQ.
Our prices are fully inclusive of towels, all bedlinen and cleaning - this property is very much our home when we can get away to France and is furnished and equipped accordingly. For this reason we do not allow smoking or pets. The apartment is also unsuitable for small children.
We are fully flexible over arrival and departure times and changeover days, subject to allowing sufficient time for cleaning between changeovers. Minimum rental is one week with additional days at pro-rata the weekly rate. Discounts available for longer stays.
